SENNSE (Spatial hEritage scieNce oNline Sensor Environment)

sennse

The SENNSE platform, developed within the H2IOSC project, aims to implement an open source hardware/software IoT solution specifically designed for the cultural heritage domain. The system enables real-time microclimate monitoring of cultural heritage sites, such as museums, archaeological sites, historical buildings and monuments, using data acquired from multi-parametric sensor networks.

The platform is equipped with tools for the acquisition, analysis and visualisation of a wide range of interdisciplinary data (such as micro-environmental, structural and energy consumption data), presented through interactive and customisable dashboards.

A monitoring project creation procedure will guide the user from the design of the sensor network to the processing and visualisation of the acquired data.

The project will have the ability to archive and correlate geo-referenced data, studies and analyses carried out in order to generate new knowledge through the integration of the information collected. The data produced will be accessible and shareable, encouraging collaboration between research centres, cultural institutions and professionals in the sector, and contributing to a more conscious and sustainable management of cultural heritage.
