Tour of Otranto - Wed June 18, 19:15 - 20:30
As part of the XR Salento 2025 program, we are pleased to invite participants to a guided cultural tour of Otranto. This experience will offer a unique opportunity to explore the city’s rich historical and cultural landscape—from the Romanesque Cathedral and its celebrated 12th-century mosaic, to the Aragonese Castle and the atmospheric old town. Situated at the easternmost point of Italy, Otranto has long been a crossroads of civilizations, shaped by Greek, Byzantine, and Norman influences. We look forward to sharing with you the stories and heritage that make this city a true meeting point between East and West.
The meeting point is the wreck of the Albanian boat Kater i Rades, located in the port of Otranto.

We are pleased to invite conference participants to a Gala Dinner at La Grotta del Conte, a renowned seaside restaurant in Castro, just a short distance from Otranto. The evening promises a refined culinary experience in a stunning coastal setting, showcasing the rich flavors of the local tradition.
Please note that the dinner is not included in the conference registration fee and costs €70 per person. The menu is available for download.
